CANCELLATION POLICY

This Cancellation Policy governs the manner in which Loehrs Forensics, LLC. handles cancellation and refunds from users (each, a “User”) of the Loehrs Forensics website (“Site”). This cancellation policy applies solely to the Site and the professional services offered by Loehrs Forensics, LLC. This policy does not apply to the expert services offered by Loehrs Forensics, LLC., the websites of our reseller service providers, or to any other third parties, even if their websites are linked to our website. 

 

I.  CANCELLATION OF SERVICES

Due to limited availability of trained forensic examiners, we request that cancellations be made as far in advance as possible of any scheduled appointments. If the evidence is being shipped to Loehrs Forensics, cancellations must be made prior to shipping the evidence. If the evidence is schedule to be hand-delivered to the Loehrs Forensics laboratory, we ask that cancellations be made no less than 48 of hours in advance of the scheduled appointment.

 

II.  REFUNDS

Loehrs Forensics will honor refunds under the following scenarios:

(a.) Cancellation of Service - cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and prior to services performed, a full refund will be issued but will incur a 20% service and processing fee. Services performed includes initiating the transfer of evidence through means of courier services or appointment at Loehrs Forensics, taking possession of a device, processing the device, relinquishing the device, or producing any data as a result of Loehrs Forensics access to the device.

(b.) Encrypted/Secure devices - if a device is received in an encrypted state (physical disk encryption, passcode protected, etc.) and Loehrs Forensics is unable to safely decrypt the device or bypass the security features, a refund of unused funds will be issued but will incur a 10% service and processing fee. At a minimum, the professional service "Preservation" will automatically be billed toward the initial payment reflecting all time and expenses incurred receiving, documenting, and relinquishing the original evidence. This service is to ensure all proper documentation is created and maintained for the transfer of original evidence. 

(c.) Damaged devices - if a device is unable to be forensically acquired due to physical damage and/or hardware failure, a refund of unused funds will be issued and will incur a 10% service and processing fee. At a minimum, the professional service "Preservation" will automatically be billed toward the initial payment reflecting all time and expenses incurred receiving, documenting, and relinquishing the original evidence. This service is to ensure all proper documentation is created and maintained for the transfer of original evidence

Loehrs Forensics makes no warranties or representations of any kind, express or implied, that refunds will be issued under the following scenarios: 

(a.) Quality of Data - The quality or quantity of data extracted from a device widely varies on usage history, make and model, and available technology. Loehrs Forensics makes no guarantee that any device will contain the data requested or sought by the User. No refunds will be issued for dissatisfaction with the data forensically extracted and produced from a device.

(b.) Time Restraints - The amount of time each service will require is dependent upon the unique device and forensic tools. Every effort will be made to expedite the start of forensic processes and meet deadlines, but Loehrs Forensics makes no guarantee that any service can be completed within a specific timeframe. No refunds will be issued for failure to produce the data within restricted timeframes.
